Such valuable information as this should be taught in schools across the nation; sadly it is not.

Mastering ChatGPT: The 2-Week AI Creator Sprint

At Thrive Virtual Academy, we believe students shouldn’t just use technology—they should learn to command it. Mastering ChatGPT is a high-energy, project-based summer intensive designed to give students aged 13–17 the skills, confidence, and ethical understanding to harness the most powerful tool of our time.

This isn’t a typical summer class filled with dry theory and slides. In this two-week sprint, students roll up their sleeves and apply AI to real-world challenges every single day. Whether it’s drafting professional emails, planning a complex travel itinerary, designing characters for a digital story, or even building a business pitch from scratch, students are constantly building, experimenting, and thinking critically.

The Thrive Experience: Engage, Encourage, Empower

We’ve condensed our signature semester-long curriculum into a powerful 8-session format using our proven “Engage, Encourage, Empower” model:

  • Engage: Each session kicks off with energetic, live instruction packed with real-world examples. Students learn exactly how ChatGPT can solve math problems, summarize complex biology articles, or script a YouTube video. These aren’t just “tech demos”—they are practical skills rooted in student passions.

  • Encourage: Students are given the space to try, fail, and iterate. Our virtual classroom is a collaborative lab where curiosity is celebrated and there is zero judgment. Students get direct coaching from innovators who use AI in the real world every day.

  • Empower: Every project builds on the last, rapidly expanding the student’s “AI Toolkit.” By the end of the second week, they aren’t just hitting buttons—they are designing custom learning plans and launching digital content with a level of efficiency they never thought possible.

Beyond the Prompt

More than just “chatting,” students develop a strong sense of digital responsibility. We dive deep into how to spot AI-generated misinformation, respect copyright, and use these tools ethically. We teach them that while AI is the tool, they are the innovators.

The Capstone Showcase

The camp culminates in a final Capstone Project where students identify a real-world problem and solve it using ChatGPT. This is the ultimate proof of their new skills—showing that they can apply AI independently to lead in their schools, communities, and future careers.

Mastering ChatGPT is more than a tech camp. It’s a mindset shift.

The future belongs to those who can solve problems creatively and communicate clearly. We provide the tools; your student provides the vision. It all starts with a simple prompt:

“What will you build?”
